Rafael designed and handcrafted the Bacio curved dresser from the reclaimed 100-year-old Heart Pine he salvaged from Manhattan townhomes that would have otherwise been taken to a landfill; it has two gold-painted interior drawers and a non-toxic oil finish with an acrylic base, which gives the illusion of the dresser being suspended in space. Antique Heart Pine is only available through the careful reclaiming process from the demolished buildings and re-milled into beams. It is appreciated for its rich history, beauty, and durability. Growth Heart Pine is as rare as sunken treasure, with less than 10,000 protected acres of original-growth Longleaf Pine forest remaining.

Rafael gave life to the curved dresser thanks to the excellent flexibility characteristic of Heart Pine; the end design looks like a mouth or lips, so he named it Bacio, a kiss in Italian. The Bacio curved dresser is an authentic piece of art that would look beautiful in any room of your home.

As with all of Rafael's pieces, this is a one-of-a-kind, sustainable, handcrafted piece; no two pieces of furniture are the same.
